Our Series A: Why we're betting on the workforce as security's greatest asset

Nudge Security’s Series A accelerates its mission to provide visibility, automation, and workforce engagement across SaaS and AI security.

I’m thrilled to share that Nudge Security has raised our Series A funding, led by Cerberus Ventures with participation from our existing investors and new strategic partners. This marks an incredible milestone for our team—and for the future of securing the modern workplace.

This funding comes at a moment when SaaS and AI adoption are accelerating faster than security teams can adapt.

A new security frontier

Nudge Security was born out of a simple but profound shift: the workforce has become the new security perimeter. The moment employees gained free, instant access to SaaS, AI tools, and cloud services, the old network-centric model reached its breaking point.

The center of gravity in cybersecurity shifted. The “network perimeter” dissolved, replaced by a constantly evolving constellation of employees, contractors, and applications—all connected directly to the internet.

And with that shift, a new challenge emerged. The security models built for static networks and managed endpoints simply can’t keep up with the fluid, human-driven nature of business today.

Attackers understand this better than anyone. They no longer need to break in—they just log in, exploiting the sprawl of unmanaged accounts, shadow IT, and OAuth permissions that accumulate as teams move fast. The result: security teams are drowning in risk they didn’t create and can’t see.

This is the problem I set out to solve with my co-founder Jaime Blasco when we started Nudge Security.

Modern problems demand human-centered solutions.

Our founding insight was simple: security teams can’t protect what they can’t see—and they can’t solve a workforce problem without engaging the workforce in the solution. That’s why we built Nudge Security, the world’s first workforce-enabled AI and SaaS security platform.

It starts with our patented approach to Discovery: instant visibility into every app, account, and OAuth connection your workforce uses—approved or not. But visibility alone can’t keep pace with the speed of modern work.

“Within hours of deployment, we gained complete visibility into our SaaS footprint across the organization. It's rare to find a solution that's both incredibly powerful and remarkably easy to use." —Fredrick Lee, CISO, Reddit

So we help security teams engage the workforce directly, with contextual, friendly interventions that guide people toward secure choices in real time. When an employee signs up for a new tool, we can steer them to a sanctioned option, close the loop with security, and keep work moving. It’s a new kind of security relationship: one built on trust, not tension.

From there, Playbooks automate the heavy lifting—revoking access, remediating risky OAuth grants, or notifying users—turning an avalanche of manual tasks into scalable workflows.

And with our Browser Extension, security finally meets the workforce where modern work actually happens: right inside the browser.

Securing the Workforce Edge

We call this new paradigm securing the Workforce Edge.

It’s a recognition that in today’s SaaS-first world, human action—not the network—defines the true boundary of the enterprise. And securing that boundary means meeting people where they are, putting guardrails in place to help them make secure choices naturally as they work.

This Series A funding allows us to double down on that mission. We’ll invest in expanding our discovery capabilities, deepening integrations with the tools security teams rely on, and innovating new ways to bring security and employees together in shared defense.

A partnership built on conviction

We’re proud to have Cerberus Ventures leading this round. Their team shares our conviction that the next generation of cybersecurity must be people-centric—empowering defenders and employees alike to operate safely in a decentralized, SaaS-driven world.

I want to personally thank our partners at Cerberus Ventures for their belief in our team and our vision. Their experience helping build and scale transformative security companies will be invaluable as we take this next step.

To our early investors, customers, and champions: thank you for trusting us, challenging us, and building with us. You’ve been part of this journey from day one, and we’re grateful for your support.

Looking ahead

This Series A isn’t just validation—it’s acceleration. It allows us to expand our discovery engine, deepen integrations, and build new ways for security and employees to operate together as a shared defensive system.

At Nudge Security, we’ve always believed the future belongs to organizations that empower their workforce. Security that works with people will always beat security that fights against them.

The workforce is the new edge. And we’re here to secure it—together.
